About K-SINK
K-SINK contains calcium polystyrene sulphonate, a cation-exchange resin that binds potassium in the gastrointestinal tract and promotes its elimination, helping lower elevated serum potassium levels.
Indications
Management of hyperkalaemia associated with renal impairment, as advised by the physician.
Dosage & Administration
As directed by the physician.
Key Safety Information
- Contraindicated when serum potassium is below 5 mmol/L, in hypercalcaemia and in obstructive bowel disease. Monitor serum potassium and calcium.
- Do not give with sorbitol (risk of intestinal necrosis). Separate from other oral medicines.
Storage
Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
