About VINCITROL
VINCITROL contains calcitriol, the active form of Vitamin D3. In Chronic Kidney Disease the kidneys are unable to adequately activate Vitamin D; calcitriol helps maintain calcium balance and manage secondary hyperparathyroidism.
Indications
Management of hypocalcaemia and secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease, including those on dialysis.
Dosage & Administration
As directed by the physician.
Key Safety Information
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia or vitamin D toxicity. Monitor serum calcium and phosphate; stop if hypercalcaemia develops.
- Avoid other vitamin D preparations unless directed by the physician.
Storage
Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
