About VALSIYA
VALSIYA contains valganciclovir, an antiviral prodrug of ganciclovir with activity against cytomegalovirus (CMV). CMV infection is a significant risk after organ transplantation, and valganciclovir is used to prevent CMV disease in at-risk recipients.
Indications
Prevention of cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease in solid-organ transplant recipients at risk, and treatment of CMV retinitis in adults with AIDS, as per the approved prescribing information, under specialist supervision.

Key Safety Information
- Haematological toxicity (leukopenia, neutropenia, anaemia, thrombocytopenia): monitor blood counts.
- Potential carcinogen and teratogen that may impair fertility; do not break or crush tablets.
- Dose must be adjusted to creatinine clearance in renal impairment.
